A German writer travels to Formosa and gets in contact with Aida, a young pilagá girl who introduces her to her ancestors’ world, a community that lives in an exotic wetland. Aida’s grandmother feels that this white woman poses a threat to her granddaughter. The tension between the old woman and the foreigner will only fall away when facing a major threat: patriarchy.
